I come from Pamwoma village, Pupwonya parish, Atiak Sub-county, Amuru District. My father was a married man with only one wife i.e. my mother. He was a secondary school teacher. My mother is a house wife. In our family, we are seven children and am the second last child in the family. My brothers and sisters are all alive but my Father died of high blood pressure in April 2004.

I was abducted in 1996 in an ambush along Kitgum Gulu high way.  I was boarding a pick up vehicle from Kitgum to Gulu coming back for holiday. I was still 14years old by then, in that vehicle, 14 passengers were there, out of the 14 people, 13 died and I survived alone, consequently I was taken into captivity by the Lord Resistant Army (LRA). I took 8yrs in captivity and was given to a man. I gave birth with him two daughters which I came back with them home.

I escaped in 2004 from Uganda- South Sudan Boarder, I reported to a UPDF detach and I was taken to rehabilitation centre in Lira and from Lira to Gulu World Vision centre. I stayed at the centre for two months and taken back home. From home I was taken back to school under sponsoring children Uganda led by Else Determinant. I completed my studies from Gulu University with a Bachelor degree in Development Studies. Right now, I work for work for Watye ki Gen Community Based Organization.
